Dr. Yan Hui graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, United Kingdom, and is a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). Known as the Nobel Peace Prizes of the Global Veterinary Industry, she was awarded the International Canine Health Awards 2021 - Undergraduate Student Inspiration Award, for her achievements and aspirations in improving animal welfare. Upon graduation, she returned to Singapore and joined the Brighton Vet Care team soon after.
She is currently developing the VetCompass Singapore initiative, together with a small team of like-minded veterinarians and her alma mater, the RVC. VetCompass is an animal surveillance programme that collects de-identified clinical records from participating clinics, for research purposes to improve animal welfare.
Dr. Yan Hui enjoys working with clients to provide a good standard of care for their pets, and has a special interest in cardiology and internal medicine. She is keen to further her knowledge in both clinical and research aspects and ultimately, provide even better healthcare to her patients.
Being a regular volunteer at a dog shelter for many years, Dr. Yan Hui has developed a soft spot for our lovely Singapore Specials. She now shares her love with her own Ragdoll, named Douhua.
